Commodity Futures Trading Commision (CFTC)
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is an American governmental body which is in charge of regulating the transactions carried out in the American Futures market. The CFTC was created in 1975 and based in Washington D.C. It is the most important body in the USA regulating the Options and Futures market. It is responsible for maintaining the competitiveness of the market and ensuring the transparency and legality of all its operations. In this way, the CFTC's function is to combat any type of fraud, manipulation and abusive trading activities that may affect investors confidence in such a way that all processes benefit from complete clarity.
