Avoid These Sites: FCA Names 11 Suspicious Financial Firms
Abstract:The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has flagged 11 websites—such as SELFTRADEINV, PROBIT INVESTMENTS, and CryptoNovaPRO—for offering financial services without proper authorization.

The UKs Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued warnings against eleven entities suspected of offering or promoting financial services in the United Kingdom without the necessary authorisation. Compliance and Risk Awareness
According to the FCA, almost all firms offering financial services in the UK must be authorised or registered. These eleven entities are not recognised by the regulator, and any engagements with them may lead to unprotected losses. It is also noted that many of these firms use misleading contact details and sometimes mimic legitimate companies to confuse investors.
Reminder to the Public
Before making any investment decisions, its essential to confirm whether the platform is regulated by the financial authority in its jurisdiction. Regulated platforms generally provide stronger protection mechanisms.
Take the UKs Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an example: authorised firms may offer access to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and fall under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), which provides an added layer of security in the event of disputes or firm insolvency.
To simplify the verification process, tools like WikiFX can help users quickly check a brokers regulatory status across multiple countries.
