MetaTrader 5 Build 6140 Expands AI Tools and Web Terminal Functions
Abstract:MetaTrader 5 Build 6140 expands AI Assistant support, improves MCP tools and introduces several updates to charts, market depth and controls in the web terminal.

MetaTrader 5 has released Build 6140, adding more functions to its AI Assistant and making several changes to the platforms web terminal.
The update continues MT5s integration of AI tools into market analysis, coding and trading application development, while also addressing usability and technical issues across the browser-based platform.
AI Assistant Adds More Model Options
Build 6140 expands the number of large language model providers available through the MT5 AI Assistant.
Users can select different models depending on the task, including market research, programming and the development of trading tools.
The update also changes how MCP tools operate within the platform. AI agents can now stop the Strategy Tester directly, adding another automated control to the testing process.
Web Terminal Receives Chart and Market Depth Updates
The MT5 web terminal has received changes to chart scaling, mouse controls and symbol switching.
Several issues affecting Depth of Market have also been corrected. The adjustments are mainly aimed at improving chart interaction and order-book viewing for users trading through a browser.
Further Platform Fixes Included
The new build also contains internal fixes across different MT5 components.
The platform developer continues to review its code base and address technical issues affecting stability and performance as new functions are added.
For forex brokers and traders using MT5, Build 6140 mainly brings changes in two areas: wider access to AI-based tools and refinements to the web trading interface.
