Reasons for Field Survey

The Belarusian foreign exchange market is a vital component of Eastern Europe's financial landscape. Leveraging its solid industrial foundation in machinery manufacturing and chemicals, as well as its close economic and trade ties with neighboring countries, the country's foreign exchange trading business has steadily grown, attracting both international traders and local institutions. To help investors gain a thorough understanding of the true operational status of local forex brokers, a field research team conducted a special visit to Belarus.

Field Survey Process

This time, the inspection team traveled to Minsk, Belarus, as planned, to inspect the brokerage firm Optima FXGlobal. Its publicly listed address is: 36/1 Internatsionalnaya Street, Office 823, Minsk, 220030, the Republic of Belarus.

The professional inspection team, maintaining a rigorous inspection approach, successfully arrived at the publicly listed address after carefully planning Minsk's urban traffic routes and accurately locating the address's coordinates.

The inspection team first observed the target building and its surroundings, capturing a complete panoramic view from the exterior. While the building appears to have the basic features of an office building, no signs of Optima FXGlobal's operations were observed.

The subsequent inspection team successfully entered the company lobby, but found no reference to the Optima FXGlobal company name or any information related to Office 823. There was no signage associated with the brokerage firm in the building. Furthermore, a thorough inspection of the building's exterior walls, entrance glass doors, and prominent hallways revealed no Optima FXGlobal logo, further raising doubts about the address's connection to the brokerage firm.

With a floor pass provided by the lobby staff, the inspection team successfully reached the 8th floor and located Office 823 by its floor and room number. However, upon arrival, the door to the office lacked any identification related to the firm's name. Inquiries to nearby offices revealed that none of them had heard of Optima FXGlobal and were unable to gain access to the office.

To further verify the information, the surveyors contacted the security guard in the 8th floor area and the property management staff in the building lobby. After searching the internal list of resident institutions, they confirmed that no registration information for Optima FXGlobal had been found, and that the brokerage firm was not located in Office 823, Building 36/1. Subsequent inspections of the building's perimeter and along Internatsionalnaya Street, including inquiries from surrounding businesses, office building owners, and local residents, revealed no trace of the brokerage firm, ruling out the possibility that it operated near the target address.

Thus, the survey confirmed that Optima FXGlobal did not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Optima FXGlobal as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
