Reason for this visit

In terms of daily trading volume, the foreign exchange market qualifies as the largest market in the world. Due to its relatively developed financial system and friendly business environment, the UAE continues to attract foreign investors to enter the market. In order to help investors and practitioners have a more comprehensive understanding of the country’s foreign exchange dealers, the survey team is going to the UAE for site visits.

On-site visit

This time the survey team went to Dubai, UAE to visit DME, a foreign exchange dealer. The survey address is Level 4, Gate Village Building 10, DIFC, PO Box 66500, Dubai, UAE.

The team came to the destination based on the above address at Gate Village 10. It was located in the Dubai International Financial Center, a prosperous area with many tall buildings.

The team enter the building and came to the fourth floor. They did not find the logo or other information of DME outside the building. The security guard told them that the dealer was working at home currently due to the COVID-19.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Dubai, UAE, to visit the the dealer DME. The security guard told them that the dealer was working at home currently due to the COVID-19. But they found no logo or office at the publicly displayed business address, which means the given business address might be fake. Investors are advised to choose this dealer carefully.
