A Visit to Royal Trades in Thailand – No Office Found
DangerThailand

Reasons for Field Survey

Leveraging its strengths in tourism and international trade, Thailand's foreign exchange market has steadily grown, becoming a vital component of Southeast Asia's financial landscape and attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, a field research team conducted a field visit to Bangkok, Thailand.

Field Survey Process

This inspection targeted the brokerage Royal Trades, whose publicly registered office address is 9 S Sathon Rd, Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120, Thailand. The inspection team rigorously located and verified the address.

Upon arrival, the inspection team confirmed that the address was actually the German Embassy in Thailand, a diplomatic facility with no commercial or financial transactional functions. Due to the unique nature of the location, the inspection team was unable to capture a full view of the building and was explicitly prohibited from entering internal areas. Consequently, they were unable to obtain information such as building signs and floor directions, completely contradicting the basic characteristics of a brokerage office.

A closer look at the surrounding area revealed that the area, centered around a diplomatic embassy, is primarily focused on security facilities and foreign affairs facilities. There is no signage reminiscent of a "corporate campus" or a commercial office atmosphere. The streetscape is more focused on foreign affairs than business, completely unrelated to the office environment required by a financial brokerage. The surveyors attempted to confirm the existence of a Royal Trades office through external observation and inquiries with security personnel. However, the security personnel clarified that the address was a diplomatic facility and no commercial company had ever been permitted to operate there, thus denying any possible connection between the address and the trading company.

Verification revealed that the publicly available address was completely inconsistent with the actual location, and the premises were strictly prohibited from commercial use, lacking any basis for proving Royal Trades' actual operations.

Therefore, the survey confirmed that the trading company Royal Trades did not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Royal Trades as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
