Inspection Reason

Recently, investors called the inspection team, expressing their hopes for the inspection team exposing more Australian brokers, whose real addresses are inconsistent with ones in their regulatory information. Given that, the investigators went to Australia for a direct look at Ower.

Company Building

Ower’s office address in the regulatory information is Level 12, 2 Market Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The investigators carried out a field survey to this licensed broker.

The survey personnel successfully found the building, which was characterized by modern features. Since it was under renovation, the personnel found painstakingly a signboard outside the building. They then arrived at the ground floor hall according to the arrow.

The broker’s name was not on the floor guide in the ground floor lobby. In order to obtain an accurate survey, the survey personnel took the elevator to the 12th floor.

Having walked around the floor, they found the entire floor belonging to Allianz.

Inspection Conclusion

The investigators, based on the result of this field survey, confirmed that Ower’s real address failing to match with the one in its regulatory information. Besides, the broker’s Australian Financial Services Representative license  (license number: 000301686) is a suspicious clone.
