Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

The survey team visited Polen Menkul Değerler as planned. Its public office address is Mete Cd. Süren Ap. No:8 / 8 Kat:3 Taksim BEYOĞLU / İSTANBUL 34437 (3rd Floor, Mete Cd. Süren Apartment, 8/8, Taksim, Beyoglu District, Istanbul, Turkey, zip code 34437).
The surveyors traveled to the aforementioned address and confirmed it was near Taksim Square. They successfully arrived at Süren Ap. and captured panoramic views of the building. However, upon on-site inspection, no company campus signage related to Polen Menkul Değerler was found. The “”Company Campus, Street Environment“” section was deemed “”non-existent“” due to the lack of a corresponding office space.

The surveyors discovered that the building entrance required a card swipe and that direct access to the lobby was not possible. They also noted a sign at the entrance and subsequently verified the information on each sign, but found no registration information related to Polen Menkul Değerler. As someone emerged from the building, the surveyors approached the company to inquire about their situation. They were told, “”The building's occupant information is on a sign at the entrance, and there's no such company as Polen Menkul Değerler.“”

Unable to enter the building, the surveyors were unable to reach the claimed third-floor office, confirm its specific location, or take a photo of the reception desk with the company logo. The “”No Entry“” sign for the “”Company's Internal Office Environment“” was actually due to the lack of a physical office space. Furthermore, the address was confirmed to be not a shared office, and information such as the number of rooms and workstations could not be verified.

Thus, the survey confirmed that the trader, Polen Menkul Değerler, did not exist at the claimed address and did not match the address information on the survey form.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Polen Menkul Değerler as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
