Inspection Reason

Recently, many investors called the inspection team, expressing their hope for the inspection team exposing New Zealand’s brokers, whose real addresses are inconsistent with ones in their regulatory information. Given that, the investigators went to WGI in New Zealand for a closer look.

WGI’s office address in the regulatory information is 4/17 AlberT STreeT, Auckland Cbd, Auckland, 1041, New Zealand. The investigators carried out a field trip to this licensed broker.

The investigators have successfully found the company building indicated by the regulatory information. As the subway station near the office building was being repaired, the surrounding environment was chaotic. But the personnel still went to the 4th floor by the elevator. They found that the floor with good environment turned out to be a joint office.

The personnel found a company signboard on the 4th floor corridor but the broker’s name was not on it. In order to ensure survey quality, the personnel asked the reception workers and learned that WGI was not located at the floor.

Inspection Conclusion

The investigators, based on the result of the field trip, confirmed that WGI’s real address failed to match with the one in its regulatory information. Its financial service provider license (regulatory No.: 546286) issued by Financial Service Providers Register is suspected to be a clone one.
