Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

This inspection targeted Ahlatcı Yatırım, a trading company whose publicly registered office address is Maslak Mahallesi, Taşyoncası Sokak T4a Blok Kat: -1 NO:256 Maslak 34485 Sarıyer / İstanbul (Turkey, Istanbul, Sarıyer district, Maslak, Taşyoncası Sokak, T4a Building - 1st Floor No. 256, Zip Code 34485). The inspection team strictly adhered to this address for precise location and verification.

Upon arrival, the inspection team initially searched T4a Blok (Building T4a), but could not find a building clearly marked as T4a within the street area listed at the publicly listed address. On-site observation revealed only one office building nearby. Based on the address and location, the surveyors initially suspected the building might be the dealer's office location. They entered the building for further investigation and successfully captured a panoramic view of the office building.

After entering the building, the surveyors had unimpeded access to the lobby area. However, a careful inspection of the lobby and public areas revealed no company signs. Seeking further clues, the surveyors inquired with the front desk staff whether Ahlatcı Yatırım Company was located in Building T4a, 1st Floor, Room 256. The front desk staff clearly stated that the company was not listed in the building's directory and had never received any address registration or application for occupancy, thus ruling out the possibility of the company operating there.

Furthermore, due to the lack of accurate location of Building T4a and the lack of information about the target company in the existing office building, the surveyors were unable to confirm its specific location. Furthermore, no Ahlatcı Yatırım logo was found on the building's exterior walls or in the internal public areas. Upon verification, there was no core evidence to prove Ahlatcı Yatırım's actual operations.

Therefore, the survey confirmed that Ahlatcı Yatırım does not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Ahlatcı Yatırım as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
