A Visit to MARBAS in Turkey – Office Found
Turkey

Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

This time, the inspection team traveled to Istanbul as planned to verify the public office address of the foreign exchange broker MARBAS, Esentepe Mah. Ecza Sk. Safter İş Hanı No: 6, İç Kapı 7, Şişli - İstanbul.

Upholding a sense of responsibility to verify the authenticity of the address for investors, the professional inspection team, after preliminary route planning and address confirmation, conducted on-site work based on the publicly available address.

The inspection team arrived at the target building smoothly and accurately. The company campus and streetscape displayed a bustling business atmosphere. The inspection team captured a complete panoramic view of the building from the outside. The exterior facade featured the MARBAS logo, providing direct evidence of the company's existence.

Afterwards, the inspection team entered the company lobby without any obstacles. They immediately checked the floor and room signage and clearly found the MARBAS name, further confirming that the address matched the information on the inspection form.

During the inspection, the inspectors learned that the company was closed at the time of their visit. They were unable to obtain permission to go upstairs, reach the specific floor, confirm the office location, or enter the building. Consequently, they were unable to photograph the reception desk or its logo, nor observe the internal office environment. However, to further verify the situation, the inspectors consulted the building security, who confirmed that MARBAS was a resident of the building, and that the office address matched the signage, providing third-party confirmation of the company's existence.

In addition, observation of the building's occupancy patterns and security's feedback confirmed that the office space was exclusively used by MARBAS and not a shared office, eliminating the possibility of information confusion caused by a shared office and further solidifying the existence of a legitimate business location.

Thus, the inspection confirmed that the dealer MARBAS existed at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited MARBAS as planned and observed the broker's company name and logo displayed prominently at the publicly shown business address, indicating the physical presence of the broker's business. Investors are advised to take all factors into consideration before making a decision.
