Reason for this visit

In the retail forex market, there are a good number of regulated dealers in Cyprus. Sometimes, it happens to one regulatory address registered with multiple brokers. In order to provide investors with more comprehensive information, the survey team this time visited Wise Trader, a broker based in Limassol, Cyprus.

Regulatory information

According to the regulatory information, the broker Wise Trader has the STP license issued by CySEC and located at 43, Kolonakiou Avenue, Shop N2B, Ayios AThanasios, 4103 LiMassol.

On-site visit

According to the address on the regulatory information, the survey team came to an office building at 43 Kolonakiou Avenue, Limassol, Cyprus. The building is very eye-catching. Since the office is in nature of business, there is no logo or other information of Wise Trader near the entrance of building. However, at the parking lot, there was a sign relating to F1Markets. Guided by the sign, the team found the corresponding office. The team knocked to enter the office and talked with a lady in the office. The lady said she was not in charge of this kind of things, and she did not allow the team to take pictures of the outdoor. What she only told is that the office truly is of F1Markets. As to the broker Wise Trader, she needed to confirm whether it belongs to their company.  

Conclusion

The survey team confirmed after the on-the-spot visit that Wise Trader has an unidentified office at the regulated address. There is a logo of F1Marktes there, but no logo or other information of Wise Trader. It is not sure whether F1Marktes and the Wise Trader refer to the same company. Please be prudent when trading with this broker.
