Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

This inspection targeted the trading firm Turkish Menkul Değerler, whose publicly registered office address is Esentepe Mahallesi Ali Kaya Sokak Pol Center A Blok No:1 İç Kapı No:62 Şişli / İstanbul (Pool Center Building A, No. 1, Inner House No. 62, Ali Kaya Street, Esentepe Neighborhood, Şişli District, Istanbul, Turkey). The inspection team strictly adhered to this address for precise location and verification.

After arriving at the target area, the inspection team only found Pol Center B Blok, not the Building A listed at the publicly listed address. To confirm the location of Building A, the inspection team consulted with surrounding businesses and property management personnel, receiving a clear response: the former Pol Center Building A has been renovated and is now a hotel apartment, no longer serving as a commercial office. Furthermore, the original Building A signage has not been retained after the renovation, indicating that the office building indicated by the publicly listed address no longer exists.

The surveyors then entered Building B of the Pol Center for inspection, successfully capturing a panoramic view of the building and enjoying unobstructed access to the lobby. A sign in the lobby listed the names and room numbers of all companies resident in Building B, but no information related to Turkish Menkul Değerler was found, nor were there any signs pointing to the office area at Interior Building 62.

The surveyors further inquired with the front desk at Building B about whether the brokerage firm had previously worked there or had any affiliated offices. The front desk responded that they had no record of the company having been there and had not received any inquiries. Furthermore, no Turkish Menkul Değerler logo was found on the exterior walls or in the public areas of Building B, lacking any evidence of the company's actual operations.

Therefore, the survey confirmed that Turkish Menkul Değerler did not exist at the aforementioned address.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Turkish Menkul Değerler as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
