My XAGUSD short position was forcibly closed at a phantom price of 77.674, a price that didn't even exist on the candlestick chart, resulting in a loss of 140,000.[Event Overview] I am a cTrader account user of IC Markets Global. On April 2, 2026 at 06:08:53 (UTC+8), my 5-lot short position in XAGUSD (Silver Dollar) was automatically and forcibly closed (Stop-Out). This short position was opened on April 1 at a price of 74.045, but was forcibly closed at the ask price of 77.674 during the opening session of the next day, resulting in a slippage of 362.9 points and a huge loss of HKD 141,449.36 (approximately USD 18,000). [Core Issue: Phantom Price] What made me angry most was that when I opened TradingView to view IC Markets Global's own data source, the 30-minute candlestick chart for XAGUSD during that period showed: opening price 74.956, high price 75.854, low price 69.723, and closing price 75.136. The price 77.674 simply didn't exist on the candlestick chart! Even more absurdly, I held a short position, and the candlestick chart showed the price dropped as low as 69.723. My short position should have made a huge profit, but instead, I was liquidated by a phantom ask price. This wasn't a slippage, but a totally abnormal price. [Abnormal Spread] The closing price: Ask 77.674 / Bid 73.330, a spread of a staggering $4.344 (approximately 434 pips). The normal spread for IC Markets Raw Spread accounts (XAGUSD) is typically between $0.01 and $0.05. This spread is 87 to 43 times the normal value! [Stop-Out System Failure] My account equity plummeted to -HKD 2,605 (negative), with a margin ratio of -89.76% and a stop-out setting of 50%. This indicates that IC Markets Global's risk control system completely failed, failing to close the position normally when the margin ratio reached 50%, instead allowing equity to cross from zero and become negative. 【My Demands】 1. IC Markets Global must provide tick data and liquidity provider quotes for that period. 2. Full compensation for my loss of HKD 142,211.44 (including commission). 3. A written apology and admission of failure. 4.
